Osama Bin Laden captured, Jets back to Winnipeg.. all in the same year. Coincidence?.. or is Darren Ford just that good.
All silly photoshoops aside, I'm happy for him. I've been on his side from day one. As one of the individuals at the save the Jets rally, I'm glad to see someone who truly put his name out there succeed. To all the doubters out there, you're whats wrong with Winnipeg. Dreamers like Darren Ford are what's right.

But you don't dispute that he had something to do with dispatching Osama Bin Laden?
Multi-million dollar deals don't happen because some fans said "pretty please, can we have a hockey team?"
When all is said and done, we will find out that True North conducted extensive research to determine the viability of a franchise in Winnipeg. At the end of the day, this deal will be done on cold hard facts, not rah-rah yes-we-can blather.
And home town crowds cheering don't help win games either. But it's still nice to believe.
