Power struggles

Maybe its just me, but has Manitoba hydro been taking a long time to fix issues in the city lately?  Took them more than 12 hours to get West Kildonan power back up last night.  Spoiling a number of easter Sundays.  They used to be much quicker.  I have nothing to back up this feeling bit it'd be interesting to look at a graph of outages over the last decade to see if there are any trends or if I'm just being paranoid.  Hopefully the stuff in my fridge and freezer is OK.  Wonder how long it can normally stay cool.

well, I like to pay hydro to provide me with just the right type of cold my food purchases require for optimum taste. But if Hydro is going to have problems providing me with the means to achieve it, I'll have to find some other option.

I did consider putting the food in a cold part of the house, but I honestly did not think it would take them 12 hours to fix the problem. Apparently after 4 hours they recommend throwing out dairy and such left in the fridge. That said, freezers are good for 24 to 48 hours. At least that's what the internet tells me.
