I have to give Fallsview Casino credit. Today, while watching the Colbert Report and the Daily Show, I saw that they are no longer airing those stupid Leafs ads, but instead switched to one that seems based on an awards show theme, which I found was written cleverly enough.
Clearly they must have read my blog and realised a Casino should not associate themselves with losers like the Toronto Maple Leafs. Sure losers do go to Casinos, not everyone can win of course, so by the way the game is played someone is bound to be a loser. But, when advertising, it is probably wise to downplay that. Kudos to Fallsview Casino.
But, you ask, how can you claim that they read my blog when I posted that tirade against fallsview Casino more than a week ago! Well of course it took them a week to create a replacement. Filming a commercial is no easy task. It's not wham bam thank you ma'am. You need to write the commercial, hire people to be in the commercial, edit it, just like anything. Clearly they fast tracked their replacement commercial after reading my blog and I commend them for that.
On that note, look at this lineup of upcoming events at Fallsview Casino somewhere near Niagara falls. I assume near enough that you can get a view.

No idea what thats about. Some sort of Queen dancing? Abba tribute band?

It's Gladys Knight night at Fallsview Casino. No Pips allowed.

Terri Clark » May 29
I am not familiar with her work, the name sounds familiar, though it could just be the commonness of the name.
Trisha Yearwood » March 13 & 14
OMG TRISHA YEARWOOD WOW. Actually no, I hate her style of country music.
Umberto Tozzi and Fausto Leali » March 16 & 17
Geniuses at work. You haven't lived til you've seen Umberto Tozzi and Fausto Leali do whatever it is they do.
Gary Sinise and The Lt. Dan Band » March 28 & 29
Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know when Gary Senise will show up with his band. Oh wait, we do. March 28 & 29. I'm a fucking retard. Wonder if Gary will play his top ten song "Let's go shrimpin' and yell at god"
Sheena Easton » April 5
Hey, its Sheena Easton! Radical!

Wait, how is that going to work? Clones? Mirrors? Body Doubles? MADNESS.
Engelbert Humperdinck » May 1 & 2
I've got nothing bad to say about Engelbert Humperdinck. To take a stage name like that and make it work, thats talent.
Le Grande Cirque » May 12 - May 25
Je suis fatigue.
Richard Marx » May 30 & 31
I hear he used to walk down by the river with Mary, and watch the sun go down, and dream a way out of his town. Then he killed Mary down by the river. And he would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that darn Sheriff. Ooooohoooooohoooo.
All that said, they've got a pretty decent lineup. So, once again, pat on the back to Fallsview Casino for admitting their mistakes and doing the right thing. I might have to go there one of these days.
